Description Product Description With micronized benzoyl peroxide reduce symptoms of acne. Aesthet Acne Gel is an effective acne treatment which contains micronized benzoyl peroxide, 5g per 100g. Benzoyl peroxide (BPO) is a first–line treatment for mild and moderate acne. Although the mechanism action of BPO is not completely understood, it is thought to work by generating free radicals. These free radicals kill Propionibacterium acnes, the bacteria that causes acne, by interacting with their cell walls. Benzoyl peroxide also has a mild keratolytic effect that keeps the pores clean, preventing them from getting clogged, this helps avoid breakouts. How to use Apply Aesthet Acne Gel once or twice daily to affected areas after washing with mild cleanser and water. On first application, it is recommended you wash the Aesthet Acne Gel off after a few hours, then gradually increase the length of time until you apply twice a day and leave it on. Continue with the treatment for at least six to eight weeks to see optimal results. Once your acne lesions have cleared, it is recommended to continue on with a maintenance treatment: one application every other day with Aesthet Acne Gel.
