Germination Information: I recommend starting these seeds in pots—surface-sow (do not cover them)—in fall to late winter. Set them outdoors in a spot protected from mice so they can get a chilling period and then germinate when conditions are right in spring. (The winter-sowing approach can work very well with these seeds.) If you sow after February, consider giving the seeds an artificial chilling period of about a month. It is possible that at least some of these seeds could germinate if you sow them indoors under lights in spring, or outdoors in summer. But if you try that and no seedlings appear within a month or so, then try the artificial chilling period mentioned above before moving them back to a bright place.
