Description Amethyst flower (Browallia americana), also known as bush violet or Jamaican forget-me-not, is an uncommon but easy annual with white-eyed, blue to purple-blue flowers that are small but plentiful. The blooms appear from early or midsummer until frost on branching plants that usually reach 1 to 2 feet tall. It makes an excellent addition to mixed borders and to container plantings. It can grow in full sun but can also do well in some shade. Amethyst flower is technically a tender perennial but is mostly grown as an annual. Collected in August and September 2025.
