Description Again, cannot ship these seeds to Arizona or California. Queen Anne’s pocket melon (Cucumis melo var. dudaim), also known as plum granny, isn’t particularly ornamental in the garden–it looks like like any ordinary melon vine, with small yellow flowers—but its fruit is a real sensory treat indoors. The tennis ball-sized, orange- and yellow-striped melons look terrific displayed in a decorative bowl and release a delicious, fruity scent. It’s a pity they don’t taste nearly as good as they smell: though edible, their white flesh is mushy and has little flavor (the ones I tried, anyway). Tuck one, or a few, of the vining plants in a corner of your vegetable garden to give yourself and your friends a fragrant treat in summer and fall. Full sun. Annual. Collected in September 2025. At least 15 seeds. Shipping to U.S. addresses (except AZ and CA) only. Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
