Description Cannot ship this species to AL, AR, GA, SC, or TX. Love in a puff (Cardiospermum halicacabum), also known as balloon vine, is a charming, easy-to-grow climber with lacy, bright green leaves and an abundance of tiny white flowers that develop into green, balloon-like seedpods. Within each seedpod are round black seeds, each marked with a white heart. The slender stems cling with dainty tendrils, so they’re best on some kind of mesh or wire support. They’ll readily climb to 10 feet or more, if they can; on a shorter support, the shoot tips will eventually cascade back toward the ground. If you want some splashes of color amid all of the green, consider planting a morning glory on the same support. Collected in September and October 2025. At least 15 seeds.
