Camassia leichtlinii ‘Alba’ (White Leichtlin’s Camas) [20 Seeds]

Description Growing bulbs from seed takes a bit of patience, but it’s an interesting project and a way to potentially have a good number of bulbs for the price of one seed packet. White Leichtlin’s camas (Camassia leichtlinii ‘Alba’) is worth the wait, with racemes (spike-like clusters) of starry white flowers in late spring, on 2- to 3-foot-tall stems over slender, green, basal leaves. It goes dormant by midsummer. If you allow seeds to mature on the plants, they may self-sow and create a nice patch. The species is native to western North America and thrives in moist-soil sites, where bulbs like alliums and tulips may be prone to rot. Full sun to light shade. Zones 3 to 8. Collected in early July 2025. At least 20 seeds. Unknown ecotype. Shipping to U.S. addresses only. Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
