Nabalus altissimus (Tall Rattlesnakeroot) [10 Seeds]
$13.75
$26.68
Description Clump-forming perennial with upright stems usually 3 to 4 (maybe 5) feet tall, with lobed (lower) to entire (upper) leaves and small, nodding, light greenish yellow, mid- or late-summer-into-fall flowers that develop into fluffy-tufted seeds. Not traffic-stopping but elegant and interesting in a group. The species is native to the eastern U.S.; these seeds are from wild plants growing here in Bucks County, PA. Formerly Prenanthes altissimus. Partial to full shade; average to moist soil. Not sure about the hardiness zones: guessing Zone 3 to 8 or 9, based on the native range. Collected in September and October 2025. At least 10 seeds. PA ecotype. Shipping to U.S. addresses only. Please read the germination information as well before ordering.
